Therapeutic Massage

More than simple relief. A targeted manual therapy to resolve pain at its root, restore mobility and treat musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

What is Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic massage (or massage therapy) is a health practice that goes far beyond relaxation. It is a set of specific manual maneuvers applied to soft tissues of the body—muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia—with the primary objective of treating a pathology or physical disorder.

Unlike generic wellness massages, the therapeutic approach always starts with a functional evaluation. We identify the origin of the pain, which often lies in a deep contraction, scar adhesion or postural imbalance, and intervene with targeted techniques to resolve it.

🎯 Clinical Objectives

Analgesia (Pain Reduction)

Stimulation of nerve fibers to inhibit pain transmission (Gate Control Theory) and release of natural endorphins.

Muscle Relaxation

Mechanical release of contracted muscle fibers (trigger points) and restoration of physiological elasticity.

Improved Circulation

Increased flow of oxygenated blood to suffering tissues and rapid removal of inflammatory toxins.

Functional Recovery

Restoration of joint range of motion (ROM) limited by muscle stiffness or fascial adhesions.

When is it Indicated?

  • Neck Pain and Headaches Neck pain, stiffness, muscle-tension headaches originating from the base of the skull.
  • Lower Back Pain and Sciatica Lower back pain, acute lumbar strain, pain radiating to the gluteus (false sciatica).
  • Tendinitis and Overuse Epicondylitis, inflammations from sports or repetitive work.
  • Post-Trauma and Post-Operative To recover mobility after an injury or surgery (e.g. prosthesis, fractures).
