Technology Repairs,
The Osteopath Corrects.

A unique synergistic approach: biophysical therapies regenerate damaged tissues, while manual manipulation (therapeutic massage, osteopathy) restores correct biomechanics and posture.

Scientific Insight

The Concept of "Somatic Dysfunction"
In osteopathy, somatic dysfunction is an alteration of the mobility of a body structure (bone, muscle, organ) that affects local vascularization and innervation. When a vertebra is "blocked", it not only causes local pain, but sends alarm signals to the spinal cord that can reflect on connected organs (somato-visceral reflex). By unblocking the structure, we restore correct physiology.
Gut-Brain Axis Treatment
The inflamed gut produces less serotonin (90% is produced in the intestines), causing mood and sleep alterations. Visceral pain can reflect in muscle and bone pain, especially in the spinal column. Intestinal inflammation also leads to abdominal bloating. The visceral osteopathic approach can help rebalance this fundamental axis.
Why Do We Integrate Technology?
Manual manipulation is irreplaceable for correcting mechanics, but has limits in deep tissue regeneration. If a tissue is chronically inflamed or degenerated, manual manipulation alone may not be sufficient. This is where technology comes in (Limfa®, Shockwave Therapy): it prepares the biological "terrain," extinguishing inflammation and nourishing cells, making osteopathic correction much more effective and lasting.

Stories of Healing

A

Andrea, 34 years old

Chronic Lower Back Pain

"I suffered from back pain for years due to sedentary work. After 3 sessions of osteopathy combined with Limfa® Therapy, the pain disappeared and I learned how to sit correctly."

S

Sara, 28 years old

Tension Headache

"I had headaches almost every day. Dr. Pruneri identified tension in my jaw and neck. With just a few targeted maneuvers, the frequency of attacks dropped dramatically."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is osteopathy painful?

No, the techniques are gentle and respectful of patient physiology. Some maneuvers may cause slight momentary discomfort, but never acute pain.

How many sessions are needed?

Depends on the issue. Often 3-4 sessions are sufficient to resolve acute pain. For chronic issues, periodic maintenance checks are recommended.

Do you treat children?

Yes, pediatric osteopathy is very effective for colic, sleep disorders and positional plagiocephaly.

What should I bring to the first visit?

It is helpful to bring any recent instrumental exams (X-rays, MRI, Ultrasounds) for a complete clinical picture.

Your body is a perfect machine.

Sometimes it just needs an expert mechanic and the right tools to get back to working properly.
